We are searching for a Business Development Director for the Gas Turbine area.
Management, Sales, R&D – global reach
In the role as business development director, you work in an ambitious and successful company, and you are globally responsible for sales and R&D in one of the company’s key segments, the gas turbine segment. You report directly to the managing director, and you play an important role in the company by collaborating closely with the global management teams.
You are overall responsible for driving your segment to further success by ensuring that the right strategy for the segment is in place. In close collaboration with the managing director and the management team, you will also draw up the strategy for sales and R&D.
As the business development director, you are responsible for executing the strategy together with a team of diligent, international colleagues, to ensure that sales targets are met and that the relevant products are in place to support the future growth. In addition, you act as key account manager in relation to key clients, and you obtain the most recent information on market trends and customer demands to ensure that Nordic Air Filtration’s product portfolio and pipeline of new product development are relevant and up-to-date.
Moreover, you manage the gas turbine team, and it is therefore your responsibility to ensure that the right team is in place, and that it performs well. You are also expected to be available to the team when professional feedback and advise are needed.
In this job, you will experience a great deal of variety, and you are required to travel 50-60 % of the time.
Commercial profile with technical flair
You probably have a commercial degree combined with extensive experience with sales in an international organisation selling products of a high technical character. Preferably you have experience from a competitor, alternatively from a construction company or the oil and gas industry, and you have a wide network within these sectors. You have been faced with ambitious sales demands in your previous employments and have succeeded in meeting or exceeding these demands.
You are goal-oriented, you have a high capacity, and you are competitive. You have good cognitive skills, are curious and know what is going on in the market. You have good communication and interpersonal skills, and you are able to establish and develop good client relations with stakeholders at all levels in the organisation. Your analytical and structured approach will enable you to work in a high-paced environment. Finally, you are a strong manager who is able to manage a team of employees located at different sites. You are inspiring and not afraid of leading the way.
