We are happy to announce that we are making changes in our organization to improve customer service, enhance quality and optimize our operating efficiency.
These actions are consistent with our ongoing drive and commitment to remain a top-class supplier to our customers.
Midwesco Filter Group, a part of MFRI, Inc. (NASDAQ Company), consists of 3 entities that have been combined through acquisition over the last 30 years:
- Nordic Air Filtration, Nakskov, Denmark (Pleated Filters)
- Midwesco Filter Resources, Inc., Winchester, VA (Bag Filters, Performance Coatings and Installation/Maintainence)
- TDC Filter Manufacturing, Inc., Bolingbrook, IL (Pleated Filters)
In the latter part of 2012 we began integrating purchasing, manufacturing, marketing, research and development of our two pleated entities, Nordic Air Filtration & TDC Filter. This involved the sharing of best practices and appropriately leveraging common resources to bring more value to the global marketplace, particularly as it relates to accelerating the introduction of new products and services.
As we were integrating the pleated businesses we also saw the opportunity to rationalize our U.S.-based filter operations, the bag filter business in Winchester, USA and the pleated unit in Bolingbrook, USA.
We are therefore currently combining the strengths of the sales, customer service, R&D and procurement groups at our two U.S. locations into one strong customer-centric organization that can meet current and future demands of the marketplace.
Steve Buck, new President of the Midwesco Filter Group
Moreover, we are happy to introduce the new President of MFRI’s Filter Group, Steve Buck. While Steve is new to the Midwesco Filter Group, he is not new to MFRI as for the last 5+ years he has been President of MFRI's Industrial Process Cooling operations. Prior to joining MFRI, Steve had a 20+ year career with Federal Signal Corporation (NYSE: FSS).
Steve's goal is to ensure that we align the resources of our 3 companies with the needs of the marketplace to continually improve our contribution to our customers’ success.
