Wednesday the 30th August was a big day for Nordic Air Filtration. A year after opening the sales office at Hengst quarters in Kunshan, China, the production facilities for producing Nordic high quality products opened.
We have been working towards this goal for many years, and after Nordic was acquired by the Hengst Group in February 2016 and joint forces, the dream became a reality by utilizing Nordic´s flexibility and Hengst’ s engineering capabilities. Within the Group today, we now have filtration products serving passenger cars, truck& busses, off-highway, cleaning systems and also the wide range of industrial filters. Nordic has today more than 4.000 product configurations in our range. We expect our new Kunshan operation to manufacture most of the configurations after a few years.
With the strong European brand, combined with Chinese strengths, we expect to become a very strong player in China. And the Chinese production is important for enabling us to serve our local present and future customers even better. Our strategy is to establish a much stronger foundation in China and Asia, and hereby also to support our customers with a much better technical support. We do not only want to help improving the dust collector overall performance of “reducing their running costs” – Our clear ambition in China is also to help reducing emissions and overall pollution level.
Our Industrial Air Filtration set-up in Denmark is ISO9001 certified. We strive to always meet the highest standards within filtration. Our goal is clearly continuing being a leader within filtration, also meeting any new filtration standards in China and Asia. Our quality of products produced in China will become same level and standard as Nordic products produced in Europe. Our quality- and operation team in Denmark are committed to share experience and also to train our new Chinese colleagues. Our clear goal is for our new Kunshan operation to meet same quality standards as in Denmark. We will not compromise on our quality.
The official opening ceremony took place on Wednesday the 30th, where 20 VIP customers from domestic and overseas were attending. The customers were very impressed of our new set-up in China.
