At Cemtech Europe in istanbul, it was clear that the cement industry is moving towards new and more efficient filtration solutions to bring down emission levels
We had the pleasure of discussing the controversal subject 'BIGGER isn't always better' with Plant Managers and Engineers from global cement plants, who were in agreement that new filtration solutions replacing the tradional bag filters are a viable way to reach increased production capacity and reduced emission.
The Pleated Potential
In many areas of the cement plant, shorter pleated bag cartridges can substitute traditional bag filters by being retrofitted into baghouses using existing tube sheet holes. Pleated bags can generate significant emission reduction and increased efficiency although shorter and smaller than bag filters.
